Hey!

I’m Jonah Maple, and this is my site. I’m hail from Indianapolis, I’m nonbinary (they/them), 22, and happy to be here. Maybe you already know me. I talk all the time about politics and comics, and that’s what I mostly think about, so I decided to make this blog to put my thoughts into the world. I’m also taking a semester or two off from college right now, so I’m trying to keep my writing chops up. Feel free to follow along. I’m on Bluesky at @jo-maple.bsky.social.

This site is kinda barebones right now, I wanted to publish my first essay before figuring out how to make this look pretty.

For those wondering, the title comes from a song I am obsessed with: The the Empty by Le Tigre, as well as the fact that I have a stutter. The purple photo is mine, I took it at the state fair with a 3 second shutter speed and messed with the colors in Photopea. It’s an art form I like to do.
